Cel Animation
We were approached by Hello Cup to create an easy to follow instructional video that showcase how to insert, remove, and care for their menstrual cups, supplementing their information cards.
Combining stop motion to feature their product, and 2D animation to create stylized graphics, we sought to animate the video as accurately as possible, while keeping the look and feel on-brand.
In this project, I was in charge of the cel animation elements throughout the video. As the 2D hands follow the movement of the cup, I also provided animation guides for stop motion. Finally, I composited the stop motion cup with the cel elements to add finishing, and animated the typography to go along with the visuals.
